Things I’ve Built

I like projects that combine interesting technical problems with something people can actually use.

SpeakAble

AI Speech Assistance Platform

SpeakAble is a real-time multimodal AI application designed to make spoken communication faster and more accessible.

I built the application around an asynchronous FastAPI backend capable of processing concurrent audio streams without blocking incoming requests. The system combines language-model inference with text-to-speech generation and stores application data in MongoDB.

By pipelining model inference and speech synthesis, the system achieved end-to-end response times below two seconds during concurrent testing.

Built with: React, FastAPI, MongoDB, Gemini API, ElevenLabs API

The project gave me the opportunity to work across the entire application stack while thinking carefully about latency, concurrency, API design, and the experience of interacting with AI in real time.
