Beyond the Code
Software is a big part of my life, but definitely not all of it. Outside of work and school, these are a few of the things I spend the most time on.
Gym
The gym is one of the constants in my routine.
I enjoy strength training because progress is measurable, but never automatic. Getting stronger comes from consistency, patience, and learning how to improve a little at a time.
For me, lifting is as much about discipline as it is fitness. It gives me somewhere to push myself outside of academics and software, reset after a long day, and keep working toward something long term.
Guitar
I play guitar as a creative outlet and as a way to step away from screens for a while.
What I enjoy most about music is how much room there is to keep improving. A song can start out feeling impossible, then gradually become natural after enough repetition.
Whether I’m learning a new song, practicing a technique, or just playing around, guitar gives me a completely different kind of problem-solving than programming.
Pickleball
Pickleball started as something fun to do with other people and quickly became something I genuinely enjoy.
It has the perfect combination of competition, strategy, and accessibility. You can have fun playing casually, but there’s always another level of positioning, consistency, and decision-making to improve.
